Problems with Books and Diagrams
The first problem is with Publish > Books > New button.
Enter a Name for New Book then press Create and NOTHING happens!
The second problem relates to trying to present a Landscape Diagram on a Portrait Book page.
The trick is to first use Diagram > Save Diagram As > JPEG File to save the Landscape Diagram.
Then use View > Standard Diagram Types > Blank Diagram and Diagram > Insert into Diagram > Picture and choose the Landscape Diagram JPEG file just saved above.
Then on the Picture use Diagram > Format > Shape > Rotation and set 270 or 90 degrees.
Finally use Diagram > Save Diagram As > Custom Diagram Type and give it a name.
Now in a Book, when that Diagram Type is added, FH stops working and crashes.
If however, that Diagram Type is saved as a Chart, then that can be added to the Book OK.
Can anyone else reproduce those symptoms?

Re: Problems with Books and Diagrams
Mike,
When I click on new to create a new book it pops up a window to type in the name and then asks me which items I would like to include.

Re: Problems with Books and Diagrams
Just created a new book named Fred in about 2 seconds: Publish/Books/New/Create. No problem.

Re: Problems with Books and Diagrams
Like others I have no problem creating the new book. But confirm that when the new Diagram Type is added it causes FH to crash. Saving and adding as a Chart works OK.

Re: Problems with Books and Diagrams
Thanks for the feedback.
Despite re-installing FH my Books > New button still does nothing.
I know it cannot be a folder permissions problem, because the Clone button works fine.
Thank you Lorna for confirming the Diagram Type problem.
It only seems to affect those derived from a Blank Diagram.
Other forms of Diagram Type are OK.

Works fine for me Mike. I haven't tried the second "problem", so cannot comment.tatewise wrote:The first problem is with Publish > Books > New button.
