Findmypast hints new option

I received the Ontario Genealogical Society's new e-Newsletter (the Weekly Update, dated January 20, 2018) with news of the following feature:
A new Search Feature has been added this week that lets you expand your family tree quicker than ever. Now, when you click 'add to tree' on any record, it will automatically be converted into a hint, allowing you to merge information from that record onto the relevant person's profile on your tree. You can even add multiple new family members to your tree in a matter of seconds. Give it a go for yourself and let Findmypast know your feedback.
I haven't experimented yet, but I'm wondering if Family Historian, or other findmypast users, will be able to see these user-created hints.

If you have trees in FH and also have an online tree or trees at findmypast, I'd be interested to hear about your experiences.

I doubt if they will appear in the FH Focus Window 'hints' because they only search for FMP 'records' that match the Individual, and only a subset of 'record' types are searched, so not all 'record' types are included.

I agree, Mike, but if enough people are attaching records from a particular record group, perhaps findmypast might add that to the subset of records for which hints are being generated?

We'll see what happens. I understand that hint engines can only search so much, otherwise they are a big drain on the system.
