Help modifying a query re 1939 register

Hello
I have recently got access to the 1939 register so have been ploughing through it. I have a query (can't remember if it came with FH or if I downloaded it) which gives me a list of a possible people for the register to check. Is there anyway to exclude those that I have found the record? In a previous life (and pre-baby brain) I would have thought I needed to create a list of those with the register and then use that to exclude in the main query (nested queries) but no idea if that works here.

If it helps my query is
Add if %INDI.BIRT.PLAC:FULL% contains 'England'
Exclude if %INDI.BIRT.DATE:YEAR% was later than 1939
Exclude if %INDI._FLGS._LIVING% is set
Exclude if %INDI.DEAT.DATE:YEAR% was earlier than 1939
Exclude if %INDI.BIRT.DATE:YEAR% was earlier than 1800

Kind regards
Mel

If you record the 1939 Register as a census event and assuming it is the only census event in 1939 then a final line

Exclude unless %INDI.CENS[year=1939]% is null

should remove all those with a 1939 census entry.

It is worth noting that the 1939 Register included people born outside England so you may be excluding individuals not born in England.

Thanks so much for that. That worked. The English bit for now will stay as my mum is french so half (or maybe not half) are all based in France so it would take ages to filter them. I reckon once I have done this list, I can maybe remove that qualifier to catch any others. Or maybe exclude all Mum's ancestors.

I assume your existing Query lists to your satisfaction every potential person who may be in the 1939 Register.
I assume you record 1939 Register facts using the standard Census Event with a Date of 29 Sep 1939.
Thus you can exclude those people who already have that fact by adding the following Rows filter to your Query.
Exclude unless %INDI.CENS[year=1939]% is null

I assume you have gained access to the 1939 Register via FindMyPast (FMP).
So alternatively, you could use the Lookup Missing Census Facts Plugin with just FindMyPast enabled.
It checks all Census years but sorting on the browser FMP column brings all 1939 Register entries together.
You can then immediately click the link to search the FMP database online.

Thanks Mike. Yes that's the query. I had a feeling I hadn't created it myself! I did modify it to sort by surname. I used the missing census plugin which was good but gave me way to much info, but adding that extra line to remove those with the census has made a huge difference.

Thanks both of you for your help.
