Family Historian User Group

I entered 6 children in birth order, then found a 7th that is second born. However he appears as 7th born on The Family Tree rather than second. Do I have to re-enter them all as even though I have closed down it has not shuffled them into order?

I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's ok I've worked out what to do thanks. Within a parent in Property Box click on the child in question then use the squiggly up or down arrows to move him/her into the correct place of when born in the family.

I wrote the answer in case others need to know what to do.

I think another option is to use Tools > Re-order Out-of-Sequence Data. Then check the boxes for the desired items to re-order.

You can quickly do your entire database with this option.

Thanks, will give that a try as well on others out of order.

Another method, is to select one of the parents records and press "F9" on your keyboard. The performs the sort out of order facts for just that person, and sorts the children into birth order.
