Select Source

Post by Johnr65 » 21 Nov 2017 10:09

Recently when I add a source to an event, the source list comes up as source records in numeric order by record id, they used to appear in alphabetical order ; now I've to click on Source Records in the title to get them to revert to alpha . Is there a way of bringing them up in alpha as before?

The order that sources are displayed when adding a source to a fact is governed by the sort order on the source record tab. At some point you must have sorted that tab on ID order. Just go to the Sources tab and click on the name column to sort in alpha order.

The order seems to be is based on the order of the sources in the listing in the record window. So you should go to that window and change the order to the one you want.

I've moved this to the FH General Usage Forum as it is nothing to do with Plugins.

Thank you very much that worked. A secondary question is there a way of amending the source titles?

Yes, simply edit them in their Property Box.
