Focus window "birth" text v Sentence template?

Post by wellera » 14 Nov 2017 15:07

Hi

Small puzzle.

On my focus window the sentence for my birth is:
"Born: 10 December 1954 in 11 Norfolk Road, Mitcham, Surrey SW19 2EH"

In narrative reports:
"He was born on 10 December 1954 at 11 Norfolk Road, Mitcham, Surrey SW19 2EH"

My sentence template is:
{individual} was born {date} {=CombineText( TextIf( TextPart(%FACT.PLAC%,1,3,TIDY) = "", "in ", "at "), %FACT.PLAC:TIDY%, , )} <({age})>

BTW I don't use the ADDRESS field. I put everything in the PLACE field (so that I can map each address correctly)

Where is the focus window sentence configured? (I'd like to replace "in" with "at" in that sentence).

Thanks

Andrew

The simple answer is the Focus Window text cannot be customised.
Actually very little can be customised. See Customize View... link.
I suspect it is effectively using {date} {place} internally, but that cannot be changed.

Thanks Mike - I thought that might be the case.
