Change date format in diagrams?

Is there any easy method to change date format in diagrams. For example to only numerical: 24-12-2017 or change the english month names to another language: may to maj et cet

To convert to numeric format, first use Tools > Preferences > General tab and select your Preferred Short Date Format from the drop-down menu. Then use Diagram > Options >Text tab and Edit the text scheme. In the Date Format box near the top select Abbrev3 and click OK.
