I cannot move to a the display screen for converting a diagram to a usable format which I hope to send to a fellow Family Historian member. I am using Windows 10 for the first time and it does not like FH along with several other programs of mine :(

Sorry Chet, but can you please be a bit more explicit and give a few more details.
Are you using a brand new Windows 10 PC or have you upgraded an existing PC to Windows 10?

There are many, many users here successfully running FH V6.2 on Windows 10 including myself.
What exactly do you mean by Windows 10 "does not like FH"?
What errors are produced?

The first step is to try re-installing from http://www.family-historian.co.uk/downl ... ee-upgrade.

Are you saying that the Diagram Window itself does not display?
Or that the Diagram > Save Diagram As commands are not working?
Or what?
Have a look at how_to:family_historian_installation_problems|> Family Historian Installation Problems, especially Error: Family Historian Stopped Working and Family Historian Installs But Won't Run Properly with regard to viewing Diagrams and printer driver problems, which may be associated with updating to Windows 10.

Sorry for the confusion. What I want to do is save copy of a diagram that I can then forward as an attachment to an e-mail message. Once I have the diagram, which in this case is the ancestors/descendants of someone in my family tree, what should I do next?

As for my comments about Windows 10, forget I mentioned it.

Chet, essentially you should use Diagram > Save Diagram As > PDF File (.pdf) and accept the defaults to Adjust PDF File Page Size so that Diagram fits into One Page.

Then you should be able to send that PDF file as an Email attachment providing it is not too large, as some Email servers limit the size of attachments. If that happens, then you could use a cloud store solution such as OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. The Email recipient does not need a cloud store account for that to work, as they just click a link to download the PDF from your cloud store. It is the same techniques as many people use to share their photo albums. As a last resort you would have to copy the PDF Diagram to a USB memory stick and send it by snail mail.

See how_to:creating_a_single_page_pdf_of_a_diagram|> Single Page PDF of a Diagram for more detailed advice.

However, remember that is just a static Diagram and the recipient Family Historian user will not be able to import or edit it in their Family Historian program. To achieve that needs a different technique involving exporting and sending a GEDCOM file, and I can advise how to do that if required.
