Sources and Citations

As a newbie to FH any help on the following would be greatly appreciated.
I am struggling adding media images to an individuals report page and including text next to it. Appears i am not understanding correctly the method of adding media and sourcing it with relative citation, i think

Hi Barry, as a relative newcomer, I advise you study how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers.
In this context, the Sources Methods 1 & 2 and Ancestral Sources sections are most relevant, but don't overlook the others.

The key points to recognise are:
  • The Media tab for Individual records is intended for their photos and not source document images.
  • Each Fact needs a Citation that refers to a Source record whose Media tab holds the document image.
  • Then in Reports each Fact cross-refers to an entry in the Sources section where the transcript & image are together. See glossary:standard_reports|> Standard Report Types.
  • Ancestral Sources simplifies the task of capturing the most popular Census & BMD source documents.
It is also possible to attach Media directly to Facts and Citations but is less popular.
