Can't seem to find this ...
For example, on a Witnesses for Probate, the sentence is generated from:
{individual} was a {role name} at {label} of {principal} {date} {place}
delivering: He was a Proved at Probate of A.N. Other on 16 March 1768 in Principal Registry.
I'd like to get the sentence to read something like:
He proved the will of A.N. Other following probate at the Principal Registry on 16 March 1768.
Ther are similar issues with being granted probate and administration, and I can't find the templates for those either.

What you are seeing is the default Witness Sentence Templates applied when you added the Roles.
Maybe you only added the Roles when adding the Witnesses to the Probate Event and did not adjust the Witness Sentence Templates and cannot get back to them.

The Witness Sentence Template you will need for the Role of Proved is something like:
{individual} proved the will of {principal} following probate< at the {_place}>< {date}>
Similarly for the other Roles.
The code {_place} inhibits the in prefix.
BTW:
A Place of Principal Registry is rather unorthodox. Usually a Place name has more comma separated parts such as Town, County, Country. The Principal Registry is more like an Address and in a Sentence Template uses the {address} code. It is also possible to extract one comma separated part from a Place or Address field. Maybe this aspect needs further discussion.

Whilst most probate calendar entries will say where probate took place, older entries simply say Principal Registry without any further detail, hence the seemingly odd place. I'm aware that the use of Place and Address varies considerably amogst FH users; I tend to use Place as City/Town/Village, County, Country and Address as street adddress, district, or occasionally, building, street address, district. I also tend to use Address as a placeholder for the postcode. Where I use Principal Registry as the place, it will occupy the first part, and when I get time I'll alter the template to read "at the Principal Registry"; the "the" is obviously not needed for a proper place.
