I am entering a census fact and I want to share it with all the children - how do I do this. Just starting to use FH.

The Census Witness Roles technique uses Fact Witnesses to share the Census Event in the way you request, but there are significant drawbacks to that method that you need to accept.

Ancestral Sources creates a single Source record for the household and a Census Event for each member that cites that one Source record. From that Source record it is easy to locate all the associated members. In addition it automatically creates Birth Events and Occupation facts where appropriate that also cite the same Source record.

Another simpler way, which works with all facts, is to Copy and Paste the fact.
Enter the census fact details that you require, and its source citation.
In the fact pane, click on the Copy icon ( this will activate the paste icon)
Go to the remaining menbers of the family in turn, then click the Paste icon. It will then add the fact, along with its citation!

I use this method for census occupations too.
Enter the first persons census occupation details, with its source copied from Census fact.
Copy the occupation with its source.
Move to next person, then Paste the occupation and source. Edit this new occupation as necessary.
With children, most will be At School, so after pasting occupation to the first child and editing occupation to "At School", click on Copy fact icon again, and paste this new "At School" occupation to the rest of the children and there will be no need for further editing.

That is certainly a useful technique, and can also be applied to any household member's Birth Event that cites the Census Source record.

As explained by Mike, just review the copied Fact to ensure all the details such as Age in Census Event, employment in Occupation fact, and birth place & date in Birth Event match the Census data.
