Hi All,
I have just upgraded from FH 6.2.2 to 6.2.5.
My charts would appear to still have the custom settings from a quick eyeball. Although thought I would use the "backup and restore family historian settings 2.7" plugin to restore chart text customization and get the following error message. I have not taken any other action and seeking advice.
* 6.2.5 upgrade and settings backup plugin

Re: 6.2.5 upgrade and settings backup plugin
Upgrades of FH on the same PC do usually inherit all your customisations, so there should be no need to restore anything.
Potentially customisations are only certain to be compatible within one version of FH.
But customisations from earlier versions will normally be accepted or upgraded for later versions.
That is what happens automatically when you upgrade FH from one version to a later version.
Follow the advice in the red error message and investigate the Options tab setting and associate Help & Advice. However, in this case it should not be necessary to use the capability, as all your customisations should be intact. It is intended where a later version of FH is installed on another PC and needs a backup from an earlier version to be restored to update the default settings.
Once you are satisfied that all your customisations have been inherited OK, I advise that you simply create a new backup after each FH upgrade, so the backup matches the currently installed version.

Upgraded the plugin and did backup/restore and no issues.
Thank you Mike.
