I have realised that I have spelt a church name wrongly in my project. I have written St Wilfred's and it should be St Wilfrid's Church. I have searched for the entries and have written this over 50 times. Please can anyone explain if it is possible to correct them all together and if so, how to do it.
Many thanks.

Re: Correct a multiple spelling mistake?
Yes, you should be able to use the Edit > Find and Replace command, especially with an unusual name like that.
In the Find and Replace dialogue enter the Search for and Replace with as Wilfred's and Wilfrid's respectively.
If you only think it is used in Address or Place fields then untick the other Look in options.
Tick all the Search Options for case and whole word searching.
After clicking OK, you can choose to Replace or Skip each match, and if all looks Ok after a few then click Replace All.
For more complex text replacement scenarios there is the Search and Replace Plugin that offers many more features.

Re: Correct a multiple spelling mistake?
If you are sure it is only ever used in a in a Place or Address field, use Tools>Work with Data>Places or Tools>Work with Data>Addresses. In either case you will now have both St Wilfreds and St Wilfrids listed. Select both by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on them, then click the Merge button on the right, and choose St Wilfrids as the final merged version. The change will now apply to all occurrences of the name in Place or Address fields respectively.

Mike's method, using Edit> Find and Replace, will also correct the occurrences in source transcriptions (if used) at the same time.

Re: Correct a multiple spelling mistake?
There is a caveat when using the Edit > Find and Replace command with the Places option ticked.
It will result in a new blank Place record being created for the new Place name.
Any details in the old Place record such as Lat/Longitude, Notes, Media, etc, will not migrate.
That must be done manually, perhaps by merging the two records if the old record no longer has any links.
So in those circumstances the Tools > Work with Data > Places > Merge command is a better method.
Unfortunately, there is still no Help page in FH for the Find and Replace command, despite being reported years ago.
