Yes, that will do it.
You do not even have to filter by Custom Id, just sort its column in the Result Set to bring all the values together so they can be easily selected, and then hit the Delete key.
( P.S. If you had said so, then my Plugin could have done that for you. )
BTW:
Forgot to answer your earlier request to show the Permanent Record Number / TMG Id in the Property Box.
In the Property Box use the Menu > Customize Data Entry command and select Main tab.
Untick Show most commonly-used items only and add <Custom Item> in Main area for Individual.
Give it a Name such as PRN TMG Id and tick Part 1.
Set the Label to say TMG Id and Data Reference to %INDI.RFN% (or use <<Select to find Miscellaneous> PRN).
Click OK and then move it up to where you want it and click OK again.
If you want to add Custom Id too then it can be added in Part 2 as %INDI.REFN% to share the same line in Main tab.

Thank you Helen.
I'll back up and try that out.

All goods thanks Helen.
One question if I may. The permanent record id. Is it an text type field? Can it be made to be numeric as the Record id field is? Just to aid in sorting really.

Yes, the PRN is a text field just like Custom Id.
Use =TextToNumber(%INDI.RFN%) to sort it numerically, which can be applied to any text field that holds just numbers.
See glossary:custom_id|> Custom Id's for details that are similar for PRN except it only allows one instance, has no Type, and its tag is RFN instead of REFN.

Thank you Mike and Helen.
@Mike - where do I place the statement =TextToNumber(%INDI.RFN%). I guess that goes in a Query Sort logic field.
If I add the PRI to my Individual Record List as a Column can I also have this Sort logic used there also?

I have been reading this with a lot of interest, as a former TMG user. I would also like to use the Custom ID field to correlate with prior information. Is it possible for the Custom ID field to appear in a narrative report? I do not seem to be able to make that work. I can create the prior info as a separate note, and then the information appears.
My other thought, and I know you do not recommend this, is to replace all Record IDs with my Custom IDs and then everything would match. This would also be very time consuming. And, I have added people since leaving TMG, which would leave many individuals blank. Unless, after entering my Record ID numbers, the program would automatically assign new numbers.
But, I do not want to undermine the integrity of the program. I have already created a backup. I'm thinking that the best solution is to use a new Note, which will appear in a narrative report.
Your thoughts? Thank you for your time

After rereading this entire dialogue, I think my best course is to use a separate note.
I have already published a version of my genealogy, a book 900 pages in length. I did not include record IDs in the first edition book, so the use of them in the second edition book would be a waste of time. Or would it? I'm constantly second guessing myself.
I can add a note, with the reference number, which will appear in the narrative, for people to reference. I think this makes the most sense.

Where do you want the TMG Custom Id to appear in a Narrative Report?
e.g.
You could add it to the main heading for each whole report.
Use Report > Options > Format tab, select Record and Edit, then insert the following into Heading Text template.
=CombineText(" TMG: ",%INDI.REFN%,,)
Then the heading name and life dates would also include TMG: 123
Alternatively, it could be added to the Birth Sentence Template, but what would you want it say?
Perhaps: {individual} was born {date} {place}< ({age})>{=CombineText(". TMG: ",%CUR_PRIN.REFN%,,)}
Saying: .... was born on 1 January 1900 in Bath. TMG: 123.
But surely you have moved on from TMG and the TMG Id is purely for your personal back reference and not relevant in published reports.

I want to reference a prior genealogy written in 1890. I had a custom field in TMG, which did not come over, my fault. A few people have mentioned that the numbering system does not match the original 1890 genealogy. Which it will not, because I have found new people, and corrected errors. But, I could reference the 1890 numbering system.
I originally thought that I could/should use the 1890 numbers for the record IDs, which can appear in narrative reports and the index. But that seems like a lot of work, the custom ID would be better suited.
My wish is that the custom ID appear in the narrative report and in the index.
But the custom note will appear in Narrative Reports.
thank you,

The only way to get those TMG Id into the Index, and generally elsewhere, would be to force them into the Record Id.
Thereafter, all new records would take larger Record Id and that would be the only way to differentiate them.
The process only needs to be performed once.
The custom Note method will not get TMG Id into the Index.

Another way to include custom id's is to include them in a "common" sentence, for example the Birth one. You could even use a function to include in the Baptism one if there is no Birth fact, or use a custom fact (attribute) to contain the old numbers and that way they can be included or excluded from any report or diagram easily.
The advantage with the latter option is that if you have trees from many sources you can easily have multiple facts for different tree numbers (on the grounds some people are likely to be in more than one tree

I gave some template ideas for that approach earlier, but still does not get the TMG Id into the Report Index.

I created a complete backup, just in case
In 'Work with Record Identifiers" there is an option to generate new record Ids by copying custom value IDs
So, if I add my information to Custom IDs
Then, perform the option to copy Custom IDs to Record IDs, that might work
It says that the program will automatically generate Records Ids for the people who were not in my prior TMG genealogy.
I forgot to mention, I have over 13,000 in the genealogy
Since it is going to be a very nasty & rainy day, I just might try this
Thank you, Robin

See the advice in glossary:work_with_record_identifiers|> Work With Record Identifiers but you can omit the first step.
