* Associated Person feature

I discovered on upgrading from v6 that my Associated Persons tab ("Assoc") had been lost, so, as I use this reasonably extensively, Iwent looking for help on how to get it back.

First, I went to FH User Group Knowledge Base>Property Box Tabs but saw that the Associated Persons download was marked for use only in FH versions 5 and 6.

I then came across these posts and, while almost certainly down to me, I became a bit confused between the references to a "new (David Newton) plug-in" and a "previous version" in the exchanges...and quite which comment refered to which "plug-in"

Finally, I decided to take a flier and re-ran the download available in the FH User Group Knowledge Base>Property Box Tabs that I'd used in v6. Voila! Although shown as suitable for only for v5 and v6 it picked up all my previous v6 associations and it's been working well in v7. A great relief!

I presume you did not see the FH V7 Help where near the top of the contents is Notes on Upgrading to Version 7 that says:
"If you previously customized the Property Box, please read Important Notes on Restoring Property Box Customizations below."

There is much more advice there too!

If it's any consolation, many people have skipped reading that in their excitement to get stuck into V7 -- not everyone is as flawless as Mike!

I'm not that flawless. ( See the bug discovered in Export Gedcom File plugin review (19328). )
I recall overlooking that same Help initially and keep posting references to it in the vain hope it might help others.
