Hints

Post by DerekAth » 21 May 2017 11:24

I have been having problems with the Hints.

When I go in to view the hints, be it 1939 Census or BMD the results appear briefly then fade away - I sometime have to "view" several times before it settles - am I doing something wrong?

Don't know if this is related, but my hints have been behaving strangely lately too.
I click on an individuals with 3 hints, and up pops my browser showing the 3 hints.
E.g. 3 hints for Scottish baptisms.
I click on first hint to review it, then click on return to hints, and the other 2 baptism hints have diappeared! I never click accept or reject, so why do the others disappear?

I'm not seeing that effect.
Which browser?
Have you tried a different browser?
Does it make any difference if you use the browser Back button instead of the FMP Back to hints button?
If you use the browser Refresh does that make any difference?

Mike,
I use Firefox (as it states in my signature :) )!
No, I haven't use the 'back' button, and no, I don't use another browser on my PC ( I.E. is a no-no as far as I'm concerned, too easy a target for hackers imho).
I'll try the 'back button' next time I'm on my PC.
