* Flag tab in Property box

The user help specifically says that you can create a tab in the Property Box for Flags, but when I create a new tab the flags are not listed among the options for adding. Any suggestions please?

Welcome to the FHUG.

As a newcomer I advise you study how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers although that does not help with your specific question.

You are correct that the advice for adding those types of data to a custom tab is thin on the ground.
In the Customize Property Box dialogue you must untick Show most commonly-used item only.
Even then the list of predefined items does not include Flags nor many other data fields.
So add <Custom Item> (for advanced users) to obtain the New Custom Item dialogue.
Click its Help button for details of how to add items.
Use the <<Select button to open the Data Reference Assistant where Flags can be selected.
That whole process must be repeated for each Flag.

I am glad that worked for you.
An excuse for it not being in the Newbies guide, is that it is an Advanced feature that most Newbies would not cope with.
