Hi - Been using FH prog for 7 months or so after a very old Family Tree prog.
Have entered over 400 individuals and finding the benefits of FH.
How ever – In early entries I have set up a statement which appear in the ‘sentence’ box
This now appears in all the 'Individual' records sentence section.
See full detail on attachment word doc.
Cannot see how to correct / remove statement.

Welcome to the FHUG Mike.
As a newcomer, have you worked through our how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers?
Regarding your Birth fact Sentence, I suspect the Birth sentence for every Individual says the same thing?
It seems you've used Tools > Fact Types, selected Birth Event, clicked Edit button, and changed the Sentence Template.
One fix is to open that Fact Definition as above, click the Installation Settings button, and OK out.
If more than just the Birth Event is affected, then repeat the above fix for each affected fact.
If that fix is unsuitable, what were you hoping to achieve?
See how_to:narrative_report_fact_sentence_templates|> Narrative Report Fact Sentence Templates for background details.

Hi Mike,
Fantastic - followed your instruction and made fix in 3 minutes. Many thanks for your swift reply.
Took me about 2 years to decide on upgrade of a Family Tree Program and have not been disappointed with my selection of FH .
Having entered over 400 individuals and adding 'Facts' ie census dates /info on occupation/ living address have now found the Publisher print outs very impressive.
Regards,
Mike

To add popular facts such as Birth, Baptism, Census, Marriage, Death & Burial are you using Ancestral Sources?
If not, then see that topic in how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers which also takes you through Diagrams and Reports, etc.

Hi Mike,
Have entered over 950 records now since last blog question in Feb 2017
Just found a record to enter that I am unsure way to do it.
George Sheaf marries Maud Spearing in 1915 ( no problem with entry)
George Sheaf died in ww1 in 1917 and leaves Maud as a widow.
In 1921 Maud Sheaf ( Spearing ) - remarries to husbands brother Francis Sheaf .
Do i use the original record of 'Maud Spearing' even though she is now a Sheaf surname.
The marriage cert will be shown as Sheaf m. Sheaf
Please advise.
Thank,
Mike

In Family Historian you have Maud Spearing and that is how she is recorded regardless of name changes by marriage or other reason.
Her marriage certificate to Francis will probably show Maud Sheaf formerly Spearing.
You do not create a second person with the name Maud Sheaf.

Following on from Colin's reply, it is custom to enter females using their Birth/Maiden name, which of course never changes. One then adds as many spouses as necessary to their Single record. The order in which husbands are shown is then adjusted to show them chronologically, by clicking the Up/Down arrows on the spouse section of the main tab in her property box.
When you find a parish register marriage entry for a widow, it will normally only show her previous married name, not her maiden name. To avoid confusion in the future, I suggest you include her maiden name in the image title such as Marriage of Francis Sheaf to Maud Sheaf Nee Spearing
By the way, did you know , it was (is?) illegal to marry the brother/sister of a deceased spouse, as in law, they were regarded as the same as your actual brother/sister (hence term sister/brother-in-law)!

The 1907 deceased wife's sister's marriage act. 'The Deceased Wife's Sister's Marriage Act 1907 removed the prohibition (although it allowed individual clergy, if they chose, to refuse to conduct marriages which would previously have been prohibited). But the Act did exactly what it said and no more. So, for example, it was not until 1921 that the Deceased Brother's Widow's Marriage Act 1921 was passed. The Marriage (Prohibited Degrees) Relationship Act 1931 extended the operation of the 1907 Act to allow the marriages of nieces and nephews by marriage as well.'

Is there an easy way to create a query to locate such marriages? or are we into plugin territory.
I am certain I have maybe 20+ such marriages, long before the dateline, but possibly different rules applied in the Isle of man.

John, I think you can achieve it with a Query.
The Columns need to include at least say the 1st and 2nd and 3rd spouse.
The Rows filter should include only those where the father of two spouses is the same:
Add if =IsSameItem(%INDI.~SPOU[1]>~FATH>%,%INDI.~SPOU[2]>~FATH>%) is true for 1st & 2nd
Add if =IsSameItem(%INDI.~SPOU[2]>~FATH>%,%INDI.~SPOU[3]>~FATH>%) is true for 2nd & 3rd
Add if =IsSameItem(%INDI.~SPOU[3]>~FATH>%,%INDI.~SPOU[1]>~FATH>%) is true for 3rd & 1st
It tried using:
Add if =RelationCode(%INDI.~SPOU[1]>,%INDI.~SPOU[2]>,GENERATION,1) equals 0
as that should only apply to siblings, but it also seems to apply to spouses, so includes everyone with more than one spouse!

Thanks for that Mike,
I have 30 instances of such Marriages, although one of them is actually the same couple married each other 3 times (With other spouses each in between).
Mostly, (In the Isle of Man anyway) before 1900. All the English ones are after 1907

Using a Generations you would need to check "SPOUSE_START"/"SPOUSE_END" as well.
Another way would be to check if the Spouses have the same "Family As Child"
