Same Child Attached to Two Mothers

Post by marilyn57 » 14 Feb 2017 17:16

I think I have got so mixed up and would be grateful for a little bit of help please. I have one father, who after his first wife died married again. I seem to have the same child attached to both mothers and cannot change this or delete this child without deleting it from both mothers. I had a similar situation quite a while ago and was advised to put an X in front of the surname, (to find it easier later) then right click on child and unlink. However, I cannot get unlink to come up at all no matter what I do. Please help, it would be appreciated before I have to delete this person altogether and start again with her. :?

See how_to:removing_unwanted_relations|> Removing Unwanted Relations for general background about correcting these kinds of unwanted links.

In the Focus Window make the 'wrong' Mother the focus person who will be listed with her husband.
The 'wrong' Child will be listed below her, similar to the screenshot in Knowledge Base article above.
Right-click on the Child and choose Unlink Record.
