Removal of unwanted Custom Record Flags

Post by rob_it » 11 Feb 2017 16:59

After experimenting with Record Flags and Named Lists in which I created 2 Custom Record Flags - "For Action" and ToDo" - I decided to opt for using a Named List approach (also calling the list "ToDo"). I then unset the custom flags on the individuals but those Custom Record Flag names still persist in the list under Edit-Record Flags... and also under Item & Type on the LHS, in Configure Columns for the Individual Records List. I seem to remember reading in the KB? about a Custom Flag dissappearing if it is a not set when FH is re-opened ( housekeeping?) but cannot now unearth it. Is there some other way of removing these unwanted flags as closing and re-opening FH doesn't cure the problem for me?

Use Tools > Work with Named Lists and Flags, select the flag you want to remove and click the Flag Status button on the right. Then untick Always include this record flag in flag lists. The flag should then disappear after closing and restarting FH.
