Peter - I must be missing something or having a senior moment but I now have the very latest Irfanview and all the current plug-ins but I do not seem to be able to do as you say.
Yes, it can convert multiple jpgs into a pdf but not break a pdf into multiple jpg or any picture format which is what is needed.

I use it a lot with no problems

The image I posted on the previous page of this post at 20:04 showed the Extract all pages… option that I used. Are you not seeing all those options?

Phil - With a multi-page PDF open in IrfanView use Options > Multipage Images > Extract all pages where there are lots of JPEG and GIF options.
