Remove place

Post by LarryC » 26 Jan 2017 17:21

How can I remove a place from the Place Records and all other locations in FH v6.2.2 files?

Over1400 places (not real places but incorrectly recorded as a place), verified to be without links, require removal.

Mass removal, based on all places without links, would be the best solution but individual place removal would be more than I find with extensive Help searches!

Have a look at how_to:delete_a_large_number_of_records|– Delete A Large Number of Records.

Peter is correct, so I have moved this to the FH General Usage Forum.

When any record is deleted, including Place records, all references to it are also deleted.

A [kb]|[/kb] Search for delete records brings that advice up as the second hit.

I think it might also be covered in the Book Getting the Most From Family Historian chapter Named Lists and Record Flags.
