Fact Date Warning query

Post by dewilkinson » 25 Jan 2017 15:41

Having moved to FH from TMG last October I am using this very helpful query to highlight potential errors and correct them where necessary. However, I now have quite a few Warnings which are correct (e.g.baptisms late in life, marriages late in life, living to 107 etc). Is there a way of saying this Fact has been checked and should no longer flag up?. I have searched the Forum and Knowledge data base and found anything.

No David, there is no such option, and it should not be necessary.
You have run the Query, and corrected any erroneous Dates.
So the Query is now redundant and never need be run again.

If you ever enter a Date in future that infringes the rules, there will be a popup warning.

However, if you really feel the need, then one way is to add some data to such Facts.
Maybe a labelled local Note or a Source Note.
Then modify the Query to disregard such Facts with that data.

Another suggestion is to run the Show Project Statistics Plugin.
That lists the warnings among a lot of other useful exceptions.
But each class of warning can be hidden, although not specifically for individual Facts.

Mike,

Thank you, I thought that would be the case but worth just asking.

I appreciate you get the pop-ups when entering/amending data so that as you say makes the query redundant. I have a very large file ~25,000 people and associated facts. The query initially gave me nearly 1,100 warnings which I have whittled down to 757 of which 22 are correct so far. Thus I am running the query every day at the moment.
