FH Instructional sessions

I picked up a Society of Genealogist annual calendar leaflet at the archive yesterday and see that there is an intermediate session on FH - just as I was hoping.
But I notice with dismay that yet again it is at the very start of July. This is a very bad time of year for us as we are often away on holiday in late June. The reason I didnt go to the session last year.
In May 2016, I tried to contact Jane about the possibility of a class or tuition, at a time when her contact was down.
But is there any possibility of having expert instruction and a demonstration of fh at any time other than the middle of the summer?

I think you'll find the SOG courses have nothing to do with Calico Pie or FHUG. They are run by one of the SOG's "Fellows" John Hanson and it no doubt is dependent on when he can run the course.

I am hoping to run another pair of courses, around May, I will look at dates once I get back from my holiday in Feb.
Simon is doing a "Session" on
Family Historian Charts at WDYTYA Live on the Saturday morning, which should be will worth watching.

Jane
Have you ever considered running a course for those unable to hear? For this you will need a speech to text reporter.
Only problem is knowing if there is a demand for this and who will pay for the reporter

No I think Calico were only offered one slot. As far as I know Simon will be on the stand most of the time, and I will be helping out as well.

Victor not sure how that would work. I only get small numbers on my courses so I doubt I could justify the costs. Sorry
