DNA Diagram?

I would like to create a Diagram, or whatever would be best, to only show my DNA matches, what their relationship to me is, and who they descend from?

I am still pretty new to FH, and after reading most diagram related questions here, and the Official Guide on Diagrams, I cannot figure out how to do it. Am I asking too much of the program?

What I would like to do is: Put myself in a box, put one of my matches in a box, connect them, show relatives back to the Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA) and then add the next match, etc. The next match would not necessarily match that first one, it would be a different line of descent. :D

Thank you for any help,
Kim

I have moved this to the FH General Usage Forum because the User Group Forum as it says is for "Suggestions and requests for help on using this site. For help with Family Historian please post in the General Usage Forum."

There is a related discussion in the New Wish List Request Forum for Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA) report (14232) and you will see that FH does not easily yield that sort of Diagram.

Tools menu, How Related, First person - yourself, Second Person - your first DNA match, Display Graphically, Diagram menu, Save Diagram As - JPEG file.

Tools menu, How Related, First person - yourself, Second Person - your second DNA match, Display Graphically. Right click a blank area of the diagram, Insert into Diagram - Picture..., select the JPEG file you saved earlier. Move and resize as desired.

Repeat for more DNA matches.

Mike,

Thanks for correcting this entry, I mis-interpret that sentence everytime.

trevorrix,

Thank you so much for these directions, it worked like a charm.

I also saved it as a .psd file, and I could cut and paste sections into a new file and make space adjustments.

Wow to you.
