Ancestor lineage in narrative report

I am a former TMG user. One of the great parts of the Descendant narrative report was the ability to see the lineage of the person. For example, if John Smith was 5th generation, his direct male ancestors would be listed in parentheses next to his name. 142 John Smith (John, Samuel, George, John). This helped the reader to remember which generation the person was, as well as see the line.
Thank you

Do you mean like this:

- DescendantAncestorLineage.png (36.94 KiB) Viewed 2807 times
That is achieved by customising the
Report > Options > Format > Record > Edit to use:
%INDI.NAME:ADORNED% (=LifeDates2()) (%INDI.~FATH>NAME:GIVEN%=CombineText(", ",%INDI.~FATH>~FATH>NAME:GIVEN%,)=CombineText(", ",%INDI.~FATH>~FATH>~FATH>NAME:GIVEN%,)=CombineText(", ",%INDI.~FATH>~FATH>~FATH>~FATH>NAME:GIVEN%,))
AND you can choose how many generations back you want to go by just adding more
=CombineText(...) functions with an extra
~FATH> each time, AND you can choose whether to show
FIRST,
GIVEN,
GIVEN_ALL name or any other details from each Father, AND you could show the Spouse of each Father too.
Can
TMG do that?

I have moved this to the FH General Usage Forum, because I think FH can already do what you requested.
If you disagree, then please say so.
