* Diagram Icon and Expression Problem

I have encountered an issue which has left me somewhat flummoxed in my use of expressions in order to display icons on diagrams. I am using the expressions as listed in my previous thread Icons, Expressions Diagrams (14373).
I have re organised the expressions dealing with the various censuses for both individuals and families so that they are adjacent to each other to improve screen layout. All seems fine except for one individual where a family census icon (Yellow background) for both 1901 and 1911 does not appear below the husband's particular box but appears below his wife’s as expected. See attached image below.

I have examined another couple on the same diagram in the same generation and their icons display just fine……see second image where Alfred Kirk appears on the 1861 and 1871 census (unmarried) and in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census along with his wife.

This leaves me to believe that the expressions are Ok and that something must be preventing the display of the 1901 and 1911 census icons for John Funnell.

Expressions used as follows for the 1901 and 1911 censuses:

=IsTrue(%INDI.CENS[year=1901].SOUR>_TYPE% = "Census 1901")…displays white background 01 icon
=IsTrue(%INDI.FAMS>CENS[year=1901].SOUR>_TYPE% = "Census 1901")")…displays yellow background 01 icon
=IsTrue(%INDI.CENS[year=1911].SOUR>_TYPE% = "Census 1911")")…displays white background 11 icon
=IsTrue(%INDI.FAMS>CENS[year=1911].SOUR>_TYPE% = "Census 1911")")…displays yellow background 11 icon

I have deleted and re-entered the facts for John Funnell and his wife but to no avail.
As John had had an earlier dalliance with another woman prior to his marriage to Emma (resulting in the birth of one child) and that this previous affair had been ‘tagged’ as an ‘unmarried couple’ status that this might have upset the appearance of any future ’married’ icons for him. Having reset this status to the default it has made no difference to the display (or rather non display) of the 1901 and 1911 icons. Trying different diagrams (Ancestor; Descendant, All relatives )with John as the root or his wife does not make a difference.
I can only think that there is something which is inhibiting the display of the 1901 and 1911 (Yellow) icons but I cannot fathom what it could be. Have I missed something obvious? Any assistance on what to look for or do to resolve this would be most welcome.

If you drill down on the Husbands record does it have the same source for the Census as the Wife's?

Yes, he must, because they are Family Census (family) events, but I bet it is his 2nd family partnership, whereas it is wife's 1st family partnership.
i.e. for their joint Family record he needs INDI.FAMS[2]> and she needs INDI.FAMS[1]>.

Similarly, the other example works because both spouse are in 1st partnership INDI.FAMS[1]> which is the same as INDI.FAMS>.

The solution is as discussed in that previous thread for the equivalent Family Marriage events to use CUR~FAMS> shortcut instead of INDI.FAMS> in every Family CENS[year=xxxx] case.

Looks like you hit the nail on the head......

Have just replaced the INDI.FAMS>CENS with CUR~FAMS>CENS for the census entries when married (co-residence) which has done the trick and the icons appear as expected......most chuffed......
