Is it possible to negotiate a deal with them that allows us to REJECT a hint without having to extend our subscriptions?

My great grandfather was born in Weel, the east end of Beverley, and died in Walkington, 2 miles west of Beverley. I doubt that he ever travelled out of the East Riding. FMP's hints include some for the east and mid-west of the USA. I would like to reject those hints and not have them as a distraction.

You are referring to the how_to:internet_data_matches|> Internet Data Matches advice.

That issue has been discussed many times ever since the feature was added.
In a recent Webinar that question was asked and the response from the FMP representative was to buy a World Subscription (1 month or some PAYG credits would do). You need to direct your suggestion to FMP and Calico Pie, because we as the User Group can do very little.

Alternatively, just switch the feature off, and use the two Plugins mentioned in the Introduction to that KB advice above.

BTW: Have you filled in as much detail as possible for your great grandfather regarding Place & Date of Birth, etc, including the full England, UK country in the Place fields?

I had the same problem - I was using PAYG credits and ended burning these up rapidly just reviewing what was a non match. I then bought full subscription.

@Mike - I seemed to recall there was a wish list for this, that can be voted for. But take your point it is ultimately a Calico Pie/FindmyPast issue.
