I was executor for my father's probate
I have set witness entry on that fact on my father's probate
That generates the sentence under me "He was Executor etc "
but it has also created a fact under me "was Probate of etc"
and I can't see how that was generated or how to edit it.
If I snip and attach to show what I mean I will be showing personal info.

Re: Witness problem?
Hi Bill,
Are you saying there are two facts shown in your Property box, one for Executor and one for Probate?
Or do you mean there is just one fact which appears in the list as 'Was Probate of...' and the Sentence that goes with that fact reads 'He was Executor of...'?
If the latter, use Tools>Fact Types, select Probate and click Edit, then click Roles, select Executor and Edit again. You will probably find that although the Role name is Executor, the Past Tense (used in the Fact tab of the Property Box) says Probate. Change this to Executor and click OK.

Lorna
It was the second and it nearly worked.
what I had to do in the past tense box was change "was" to "was Executor at"
That seems to work
