Family Historian User Group

Forgive me for asking this - (it's bound to have been discussed before but I have searched and failed to find solution )

I have just subscribed to Find My Past but have had difficulty in attaching the image of a person's record with the individual in my FH project
When I type in the name into the 'search for people,or leave blank....' box then I get the response 'no person found'!

What am I doing wrong please?

Sorry Stewart, but I do not recognise that search prompt.
What dialogue window and box name are you referring to and how did you get there?
Is it in FH in the Records Window or in the FMP Web Search Window?

From FH focus window
Clicked FMP hint icon to open the Web Search window("Find My Past with Family Historian")
Opened the record transcription and then 'view image'
Then 'Attach to tree'


(I now sense that I've done something a little stupid Mike!)

That is related to a tree in FMP online, not your tree in FH on the PC.
You need to migrate the image and transcript into a Source record in FH.
Use drag & drop or copy & paste to transfer directly into FH.
Alternatively, download the image to PC and use AS to perform the data entry.
Essentially, once you have found the record, it must be entered into FH the same way you would if you had found the record by manual searching online instead of using 'hints'.
