Hi all, I am having problems with the text scheme on my diagrams. I currently have the Birth, Marr, Death scheme selected. However, from the 3x great grandparents generation none of the information is showing in the boxes even though the information has been added. If I look at the individual records the certificates for the births and marriages are shown as sources. The certificates are also shown in the sources list. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I am using FH version 5 and latest Ancestral Sources to add info.

I suspect it is simply that those box sizes are too small, which more often happens with saved FH Charts.

Try using Diagram > Layout & Scaling > Reset All Box Sizes/Enable Autosize or some of the other box sizing options.

Alternatively, use Diagram > Enable Moving/Resizing and drag the 'handles' on each box to make it taller.

Hi Tried that but with no success. I have two family trees (Mine and my wife's, both with same text scheme) and it appears that only my tree is affected. My wife's shows all birth marriage and death info

I assume you added the Birth, Marr, Death Events by using Ancestral Sources?

You have enlarged each box height & width to reveal all Birth, Marr, Death Events and they are still not shown?

You have double-clicked on each 'empty' box to show the Property Box and the Birth, Marr, Death Events definitely exist?

Is the Birth, Marr, Death scheme still set to Installation Settings or have you edited that text scheme?
If you may have edited it, then proceed as follows to restore original settings:
1) In Diagram Options > Text tab, use Clone button to create custom copy of Birth, Marr, Death scheme.
2) For original Birth, Marr, Death scheme, click Edit and then Installation Settings and OK twice.
Does that cure the problem?

If you still have the problem then please post some screen shots showing an 'empty' Diagram box and its Property Box.

It would appear I have solved the problem. Dont know how but I reloaded a backup file and re-entered the info. At same time I did reload installation settings for diagram options. Thanks for the help.

I suspect it was resetting to Installation Settings that fixed it, which is what my advice suggested.
If you had tried that first you would not have needed to reinsert the data.

Luckily I had only just started my family tree and there wasnt a lot to add.Thanks.
