Internet Data Searches

Post by David Potter » 14 Oct 2016 11:13

Hi Forum

Having activated Internet Data Searching - and purchased some credits from FindmyPast because I don't have a regular subscription here as I use Ancestry more so.

Question:
How can I choose to ignore the hints generated and therefore remove them from the hint display without going through the process of activating the link to FindmyPast and consuming a number of credits to view the record details for someone, only to find I already have this info. Example Birth registration versus Baptism, there appears to be no distinction between these records types.

Hi David, this is a variant of the FMP problem stated in Wish List Ref 549 More options for Internet Data Matches, that I have just updated to include your scenario, and for which there is no current solution.

See the advice in the Hints (14244) posting.

There is a Webinar on FMP Hints scheduled for next week, with a Q & A session to raise your scenario.
See http://www.family-historian.co.uk/community/events.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the clarification. I have voted for that wish list item. And checked the hint advice.

Thanks again for the quick response.
