After rationalising my census flags I've got a peculiar situation where I run the standard query "Has Flag", I select the required flag "Census - 1911" and I get a nil return which is what I was aiming for.
However, if I exit FH and restart FH the flag is still there. The options Set Flag/Clear Flag are greyed out
All other census flags, once the query showed a nil return for that year, were removed once I restarted FH which is what I would also have expected for this one
Can't see how to get rid of it. Can anyone help ?
Many thanks.

Re: Removing 'Rogue' Flag
Use Tools>Named Lists and Flags and select the flag then click Flag Status.
Is Always include this record flag in flag lists ticked? If so, untick it. (The option is there in case you want to keep a flag for future use).
Another possibility is that you had two flags with very similar names. If so, you may have removed all instances of one flag but not the other.

I have added that advice to how_to:delete_custom_diagram_fact_set_query_report#delete_a_record_flag|> Delete a Custom Diagram, Fact Set, Query, Report, etc.
