Family Group Report

Post by gwilym'smum » 01 Oct 2016 07:51

Hello, I was just wondering. I have a lovely photo of my Mum with her mother and father taken during the First World War. I would like to put this photo at the head of the Family Group Report. I have tried various ways but have not been successful. Is this viable or not? Thank you Ann

Hi Ann,
Yes this can be done. First link the picture to the Family Record of your mother's parents. You can do this in various ways, but assuming you already have a Media Record for this picture in FH a quick way is to select the Media record, open its Property Box and on the Links tab click the second of the green Plus icons to add a new link. Then in the menu select a Family and click OK. Select your mother's parents' family from the list (you can use the filter boxes to locate it quickly) then OK again.

You should now find that the picture appears in the Family Group Sheet. You may need to use the Report Options > Pictures tab to set the Family picture to be centred above the text, and adjust the size using the Custom option to get the arrangement that suits best.
