In the Plugin Result Set you should be able to select all the INDI.SOUR entries and Edit > Delete them.

In the Ancestral Sources Tools>Options under General Settings there is an option near the bottom of the panel to Create individual 'whole person' citations for either new individuals or all individuals. Have you got that ticked?

Hi Mike

What part of the record from the result set am I to delete? Using caution and working only on one record and after backing up I highlight one record from the Source Name column chose Edit > Delete and checked the result - I lose the Source and Cited uses of the Source itself for the Fact records where I need this to remain. If I try to delete the same record using the INDI.SOUR column it states nothing to delete?

Maybe I misunderstood your instructions?

Take a look at the 3 attachments and you can see the result. It must be because I am deleting the Source Record in entirety and not just its place against the <Whole Record>. By the way the Source in this case for Census does get removed from the <Whole Record>.

Sorry David, my mistake, the Plugin Result Set does NOT offer the Delete function I had expected.

You need to create a Custom Individual Query with a Column for %INDI.SOUR[1]% and a Rows filter of Exclude if %INDI.SOUR[1]>% is null.
Then in the Result Set you can bulk select items in the %INDI.SOUR[1]% column to Delete just the Citations while retaining the Source records.

Hi Mike

I have set this up but it only allows me to select one source at a time. I think it's because it forces me to set it up as a Parameter. See screen shot.

Untick Parameter and use Operator: option is null instead of just is.

tatewise wrote:Not exactly, because Flags cannot have associated values, but you could have three Flags with related names such as Checked Yes, Checked No, Checked In Progress.
Actually, as the first two flags are mutually exclusive, one could get away with only two flags
i.e. Checked and In progress

Mike, strictly speaking you are correct, but on reflection my choice of Yes and No may not be ideal, and in this context three or more values are desired.

Earlier David said "a solution similar to Sex = M, F, or Unknown but in this context Surety = 3 (Certain), 2 (Unsure), 1 (Doubtful) and only those values is what I would really like." Something similar to the four Citation Assessment values, where no Citation at all is also possible.

Better Flags would be:
Surety Certain, Surety Unsure, Surety Doubtful, and Surety in Progress with no label indicating Surety Check not Started.
