Administrations as a source

I hope someone can advise on the best way to handle an Administration. I already have the date of death so would it be best to just add a custom fact (not too sure how to adjust the sentence so I don't end up with 'she experienced' admin) attached to the date of death as I have quite a few of the above. Or just use a standard residence fact and attach the source to that?
Many thanks

Do you mean administration of probate or similar administration of the estate of the deceased?

In which case I suggest using the standard Probate Event and if necessary amend the wording of the Sentence local to the Event.

If you choose to use a custom Fact, then use Tools > Fact Types to Edit that Fact and alter the Sentence Template as necessary.

Thanks Mike,
The information I wish to add is an entry I found for my ancestor in the England and Wales National Probate Calendar, this gives date of death and when and where the admin was granted, :) as she didn't leave a will I just have the Administration with a date and place after her death. I can't put it in as a fact because FH prompts me to say this event occurred after the death date. Thanks

Jane, you can add it as a Probate Event because just like Burial and Cremation they are valid Post-Death events.
Actually, FH will complain if you enter a Date prior to the Death Date.
(If you have created your own Custom Event, then in Tools > Fact Types select that Event and Edit its definition so the Normal Time Frame is Post-Death and then FH won't complain.)

In any case you can ignore the FH message, as it is only an advisory Possible Error warning!

Create a Source Record for the England and Wales National Probate Calendar entry for the Individual, just like you would their Birth or Death Certificate. In its Text From Source field enter a transcript of the entry, and if you have one, attach a Media image of the entry.

Add the Probate Event with the Date and Place admin was granted.
If necessary edit the Sentence to replace "probated" with "administration granted".
Add a Citation of the Source to both Death Event and Probate Event since the Probate details support both events.
