Since upgrading to 6.2.2, I haven't done a full backup, and when I last did it, back in June, the number of files being backed up was around 10 or 12.
When I did it tonight, the number files being backed up had risen to 10,000+, and the file size has increased from 18Mb to 37Mb, (I don't have any media files attached)!
Anyone with a simple explanation?
I know the number people has increased (by under 10%), so am curious why the sudden increase in files and size. Has there been a change in how FH backs up?

Re: Full Backup File Count and File Size Increased
I am not aware of any change in the way FH Full Backups work.
Remember that a Full Backup includes everything in the Project folder and within the Public folder and the .fh_data folder.
That includes every file you have exported to the Public folder, including Published Website/CD/DVD files, etc.
It includes every FH Saved Chart file, Books files, Plugin Data files, and the Map Cache for Map Window and Hints Cache for MyHeritage & FMP.
To investigate, use Windows File Explorer and navigate to Family Historian Projects folder, or whatever Location you use.
Right-click on your particular Project folder and choose Properties.
It will say the Size and number of Files that should match the FH Full Backup.
To investigate where most of the files reside then navigate down into the Project folder, but avoid changing anything unless you are sure you understand the outcome. If in doubt ask here first.

Mike,
Thanks for the reminder. I did produce website data, which explains it. Thought it might be something simple like that.
