Custom ID field in Family Records Window
Hi Forum
I am able to add a column for Custom ID to the Family Records windows. But I cannot find a way to make use of it. Double Clicking doesn't work. And adding this field to the 'Main' tab does not appear to be allowed. I want to use this to align my family records from TMG to those newly created in FH.
Any ideas welcome.

Hi Forum
Interesting that I can edit the Family Custom ID value in the 'All' Tab - that's okay but I need it on the 'Main' Tab where other Custom ID fields can be placed.

Re: Custom ID field in Family Records Window
Hi David,
I don't know why the Custom ID is not offered as an item in the list in the Customize Property Box dialog for Family records, but it is possible to add it to the main tab. It just takes a few more steps:
Open the Customize Proprty Box dialog (from the gear wheel menu in the Family record Property Box.)
Select <Custom Item> (for advanced users) and click the > arrow.
In the New Custom Item dialog enter the Custom ID as the Custom Item name.
Tick Part 1 and enter Custom ID as the label and in the Data Reference enter %FAM.REFN[1]%
(This can be found by clicking Select and expanding Miscellaneous in the list of Family items.)
Then click OK.

Re: Custom ID field in Family Records Window
In the Family Records Window the Custom Id can simply be edited (I think).
Right-click it and choose Open in All Tab.
Right-click it and choose Open in All Tab.
