Saving Focus window colours

Post by TimS » 07 Sep 2016 20:47

I have concocted a colour scheme to cheer up the otherwise drab Focus window in FH 6.2.2.
How can I save it for future use in another project?
I would have thought that it would be hidden somewhere within the project, but when I copy and paste this project into another computer running v.6, the Focus window colours are the original default.

Hi, Tim.
Considering how long you have been using FH, I am a little surprised that you imagine FH customisations are saved within Projects. Almost all customisations and preferences are saved in the C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian folder or the Windows Registry, and therefore apply to all Projects on the same PC.

To migrate such custom settings from PC to PC use the Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings Plugin, similar to the how_to:family_historian_migration_guide|> Family Historian V5 & V6 Migration Guide.

For just migrating colour scheme see the Tools > Preferences > General tab Colour Scheme setting and associated Help page.

Many thanks for your reply, Mike, and answering my query.
I know I should have known the answer,to the first part of my query but perhaps my age of 83 is to blame!
Regards,
Tim
