All census query
I'm trying to create a query that shows the addresses of individuals on the censuses (and 1939 register). I can create a query bringing in one census at a time but would be interested in one that showed them all in one table.
Is this possible? eg
Name > 1841 address > 1851 address > 1861 address ....... 1939 register address
Thanks.

Re: All census query
If you take fhugdownloads:contents:kinsfolk_census_queries|> Query:Individual ~ Kinsfolk Census Queries
as a base and just change the Date columns for addresses that will work
So you will be using an Individual rather than Fact Query and using the [Year=] index option to select the facts for the specific dates.

Re: All census query
Hi Jane, the first bit was great, and those 2 queries will be really useful. Sadly however, I can't see what I need to edit to get the addresses. I guess this is too advanced for me

Re: All census query
Yes, those Custom Queries are a bit more sophisticated than they appear.
But for your purposes the changes are fairly simple.
On the Columns tab for each Heading: 1xx1 Census replace the entire Expression.
e.g.
For 1841 Census first use Ctrl-A to select entire Expression and hit Delete key.
Then enter %INDI.CENS[year=1841].ADDR% and click Update button.
Similarly for 1851 Census but use CENS[year=1851] instead.
Repeat for each Column through to 1911 Census and then Add a 1939 Register column.

Re: All census query
Update to say thanks again Mike, it's working as I wanted (we realised we had a number of ancestors on different branches living in the same street so wanted an easy way to look at that, as well as check missing entries), and it can be used as a template for other queries I want to do.
