Burning to Disc

Post by backdance » 31 Aug 2016 12:08

I am new to this software and have entered 679 people so far on the site. When I burn to disc these people come up in an alphabetical list which is no good to anyone. How do I rectify this? Please help this is very frustrating... Thanks

Welcome to the FHUG.

Could you explain a few things to help us help you.

Exactly what commands are you using to export your Project prior to burning to disk?
As a guess, I suspect you may be using Publish > Make a Family Tree CD/DVD but please confirm.

What is your purpose for burning to disk?
Are you wanting to create a backup, or are you planning to send the Project to somebody, or what?

Armed with those details, we can advise your best course of action, and where you are going astray.

BTW: As a newcomer a good starting point is our how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers especially the Documentation & Tutorials initially, but do follow up all the other topics that link into our Knowldege Base Wiki.

I'm wondering why you say an alphabetical list is 'no good to anyone'. For me that's how I like my people organised so I can find them quickly (preferring to flick down the list rather than type in the search box!).
