FH 6.2.2 and Wine 1.8
Have I missed some thing or is there any specific help on whether family historian will work with wine 1.8. If it does are there any transferring issues or problems with importing the old settings? If there is already some thing in the forum I apologise please tell me where it is. Thank you

Re: FH 6.2.2 and Wine 1.8
I use Crossover which is the commercial version of Wine 1.8 and Family Historian 6.2.2 runs fine on that. There should therefore be no issues with running it on Wine 1.8.

Here's the starting point: how_to:family_historian_on_imac_ipad_android_etc|> Family Historian on Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, etc.
From there, it's down to specific questions.
Most Mac/Linux converts seem to opt for a Crossover installation, I have used Wineskin (Mac) but there are other options, including a manual installation of Wine.
It would be useful to know whether you are using Mac OS X or one of the Linux variants.

Re: FH 6.2.2 and Wine 1.8
The specific details are under the KB FH Installation Guide in how_to:family_historian_v6_on_crossover_wine|> Family Historian V6 & Ancestral Sources V5 on Crossover & Wine.
It focusses mainly on Crossover and assumes Wine is very similar.
If you can help us make the details more relevant for Wine 1.8 that would be extremely useful.
