Just wondering if there's a way to identify people (different color font, bold, etc.) in the focus window and/or person list that are in the bloodline of the root person.
Sometimes I find myself working on a list of children in the "Spouses & Children" window, and forget which one of the children is my blood relative.
Thanks!

Re: Can I Show Bloodline in Focus Window / Lists?
If you are talking about looking at your ancestors in the Focus Window, then the Child with a direct line down to the File Root person is marked with a blue down arrow instead of a magnifying glass icon on the left.
That also applies to the Parents & Siblings tab.
Note that you can also bring any Child into Focus and their relationship to File Root is shown in the box top left. If that is a Great x grandfather/mother then they are direct blood line, but if Great x uncle/aunt, etc, then they are not.

Re: Can I Show Bloodline in Focus Window / Lists?
I see that, now.
Part of the problem was that I had my wife as the root, so it was saying "Great(x9) grandfather of husband of..."
After I made myself the root, then it showed the blue down arrow.
But it doesn't seem to be universal. For example, the person I have as the focus in the "Spouses & Children" tab is in my bloodline. But he has neither a magnifying glass nor a down blue arrow. And his father and mother (both bloodlines, obviously) both have magnifying glasses.
Same thing on the "Parents & Siblings" tab - the focus person is now listed in the "Children" section, but has neither a blue arrow nor magnifying glass, and his parents and grandparents are magnifying glasses.
And the "Ancestors" and "Descendants" tabs don't seem to support the down arrow.

Obviously if you change the File Root then the blue down arrow blood line indicators will change.
In all the tabs, the person in Focus has no Make Focus magnifying glass icon to the left, because you cannot make them the Focus as they already are the Focus. The icon is a single-click alternative to double-clicking the box.
The blood line blue down arrow is a special Make Focus icon that only appears on Children to indicate which Child leads to the File Root.
If you can see the blue down arrow then the parents and grandparents are blood line by definition.
It is true that in the Parents & Siblings tab you have to make another Child the Focus to see blue down arrow because as I said above the person in Focus has no Make Focus icon.
You are correct there are no blue down arrows in Ancestors or Descendants tabs.
I can see that it might be beneficial to add blue down arrows for all relevant Individuals on all tabs.

Re: Can I Show Bloodline in Focus Window / Lists?
Mike,
Thanks for the detailed explanation! That really helps.
I know other programs will highlight the bloodline in some fashion (different color, background, or something), and now I understand how FH is doing it, and it kind of makes sense.
I agree that having an indicator on ALL bloodline people in ALL places would help. Feature request!
