Red Text In (Reports) Diagrams

Hello all, I am a new user and have the following question:

FH V6.2.2 used on Windows 7

I have just produced my first Ancestors report and note that some of the first names are shown in red, most are the default black.

I have looked through the help and searched the forum but could not find anything that mentions the reason for this. Does anyone know why this should be?

Thank you in advance.

Peter

Welcome to the FHUG, Peter.

I am somewhat confused by your posting, but I suspect it is down to terminology.
You talk about Reports that are textual, but I suspect you mean Diagrams that show connected boxes.
In which case, yes, by default female names are shown in red and male names are shown in purple but that applies to their full name not just first names.

As a newcomer I suggest you study how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers and explore all its topics especially the Documentation & Tutorials initially.

BTW: The text colours in Diagrams can be customised to suit yourself, and is just one example of the customisation features of FH.
