I have no choice in upgrading from WIN 7 to WIN 10 but by reformatting Drive C which contains and will contain the FH v6.2 program. I will follow the Migration Guide except for when applying steps for WIN 10
I will retain the Family Historian Projects folder and all data (GED) files in Drive D which will not be reformatted. I will first back-up FH with the plug-in to Drive D's Backup folder in Family Historian Projects fold.er
Therefore, I cannot use the complete Migration process because the "old" computer drive C for WIN 7 will not exist after I install WIN 10 in the new Drive (D).
Will I have to do anything more than running the Plug-in to backup FH in the Family Historian Projects folder? Is there anything else I should do?

Re: Re-instll FH v6.2
FYI: I and other members of our computer club have used the glossary:windows_10_upgrade_tips|> Windows 10 Upgrade Tips to upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 on drive C, and FH V6.2 continued to operate after the upgrade without any re-installation necessary.
However, you are proposing to perform a clean install of Win 10 onto drive C, replacing Win 7. Presumably because there is insufficient space on drive C for the Win 10 download.
In the how_to:family_historian_migration_guide|> Family Historian V5 & V6 Migration Guide under Further Advice the last paragraph and four bullet points apply to your situation. Except that you have the benefit of separate drive D which simplifies things a lot.
As you say, you will retain the Family Historian Projects folder and all Project data on drive D, and use the Plugin to backup the FH settings there too.
After upgrading to Win 10, drive D will still contain the same data as before.
So simply re-install FH V6.2 using the normal installation procedure as per steps B) and C) in the Guide.
Perform steps 6) and 7) in the Guide to restore all settings using the Plugin.
That should restore everything as it was in Win 7.
