sorting siblings into b/date order

Hello Historians, can anyone help me with sorting siblings on the records page, into birthdate order, I seem to remember knowing how to do this a long time ago, clicking somewhere on the left hand side and being invited to move them up or down, but the memory fades. If there is a way of ensuring that they go into order when entered, this would also be helpful.
TIA, Dave Stokes.

Since they have Birth dates, just use Tools > Re-order Out-of-Sequence Data that applies to all dated details.
If they did NOT have Birth dates, then in the Children section at the bottom of the Property Box select a Child and use the up/down black arrows at top right of that section.
To get the desired order on entry, then use the Add Child option to add each child in that order.

A note on the question of adding children in the correct order:
Having used FH since before the Focus window was introduced I rarely use that window. I still prefer diagram-based editing. With a diagram open displaying the particular family group I am working on, it is easy to add children in the correct order using the 'click-and-drag' method. This makes it easy, for example, to insert an extra child between children who are already recorded in the family. Just click on one of the parents and drag the line to the appropriate position in the diagram to create a new child record.

To Lorna and Tatewise, many thanks for your replies, but as it's getting to the witching hour, I shall have a go later tomorrow, I will come back to you and let you know how things pan out.
Thanks again, goodnight, Dave Stokes.

Another way of doing it, and possibly the way you half remember, is to use the buttons (Up & Down arrows) on the top tool bar, to right of the binocular icon. With a child highlighted, you can move the child up or down using these arrow keys. The buttons, being so far from the list of children they affect, are often overlooked, what is more, you don't need property box open for this method
I use them all the time, as generally, when working back through censuses, you often come across a new child, who moved or died between censuses, so didn't appear on the later census.

TO Tatewise,Lorna and Gowermick, Many thanks for your replies, which I have looked into, and found very helpful.I think that using the TOOLS,REORDER,I found to be best for me though the other suggestions were equally valid. After all the hassle about the EU, and England's frustrating football team,I have now the chance to get back to FH and get some order from my ancestors.
thanks again, best wishes to all,Dave Stokes
