List report

Post by maggielit » 20 May 2016 21:25

I am trying to produce a list report. I have the following columns in a named list - name, date, abode, relationship. When I go to Publish list report, the only items shown are name and date. How do I include the other columns, or how can I copy the named list to a word document?

Yes, the List Report is not as useful as it could be.

The trick is to create a Query and Print or Save from there.
In the Configure Columns for Named List dialogue you used to add the custom columns, there is the Save to Query button that will create a custom Query with the same Columns.
On the Rows filter tab use the List tab to Add if... in selected Named List.

Then you can Print, or Save Results to File in various formats.

See how_to:customising_record_window_columns|> Customise or Print Record Window Columns which describes similar techniques for the Records Window.
