How to see list of my recent data entries and updates.

Post by JT23456 » 12 Apr 2016 23:14

I am trying FH 6.2.0 with an imported TMG database. How can I see records and data that I've updated since the import? I might have to go back to TMG and change a few things and reimport it, and I'd like to see any updates I've made in FH that need to be applied to TMG before reimporting.

If you go to FH's Records Window, in the different tabs, there is an 'Updated' field which should help you see what's changed. If the field is not there, right click to 'configure columns' and pick it from the available field list. The field is sortable, with alternating sequence by 'click' or 'alt click' on field heading.

There's probable a log somewhere too, but haven't had reason to look for it.

Those suggestions will identify the records that have been changed, but won't tell you exactly which fields have been changed.

There is no log of recent changes once you have closed FH.

To get that sort of detail, you would have to import your TMG database to a New Project, and then use File > Merge/Compare File to compare the two Projects and either just note the differences to add to the New Project, or literally Merge them, keeping the updates from the Old Project and the changes from TMG in the New Project.
