I’m having difficulty interpreting the Installation algorithm and advice.
I’ve been using Family Historian since 2009. I have a v4 CD with the related registration key and a v5 upgrade CD. And I have two emails sent to me on the day in June 2015 when I paid £35.99 for v6; in them, I was sent my licence name and another registration key and invited to download the 30-day free trial version from http://www.family-historian.co.uk/downl ... -day-trial - which I did.
I've been operating in Windows Vista and have now bought new desktop and laptop computers with Windows 10.
What am I supposed to install on the new machines?
Regards, George

Re: Re-installation on new computers
Just download and install the free trial and then enter you licence from June 2015 email.
If you don't use any custom text schemes etc, just copy over your Project folders, or see the Knowledge base article to move all your settings etc to the new computer.

Re: Re-installation on new computers
Welcome to the FHUG.
At that price you bought a Full FH V6 licence that trumps all earlier versions, so they can all be discarded.
Just install the 30-day trial with your June licence details on any of the three PC.
See the how_to:family_historian_migration_guide|> Family Historian V5 & V6 Migration Guide.
As explained in that guide, I suggest you install FH V6 on your old Vista PC and your new Desktop Windows 10 PC.
Then migrate everything you need by carefully following the guide, especially regarding Media files.
If anything is not clear then please ask rather than guess as that could make matters worse.
Then repeat the exercise from Desktop Windows 10 to Laptop Windows 10.
Many users like to synchronise the Projects on their two PC as explained in the guide.
When all is satisfactorily up and running, strictly speaking your must uninstall FH from your old Vista PC as the licence terms only allow two copies to be installed. See how_to:about#licence_agreement|> Licence Agreement.
