Siblings of root person on diagram

Post by IsabelH » 04 Apr 2016 10:37

My previous software allowed me to show the root person on a diagram with their siblings. Is there a way to do this in FHv6?

I assume you are using an Ancestors diagram, if you use an Ancestor and Descendent or an All Relatives both show siblings.

If you don't want the descendants, just change the settings.

Yes, in either Ancestor and Descendant or All Relatives diagram, use Diagram > Options > General tab and set Generations Up/Down if you want to restrict or increase them.

BTW: If you simply want a quick view of siblings, then in the Focus window either double-click the persons parents, or use the Parents & Siblings tab.

Thank you both for your quick replies.
It's so simple when it's pointed out! It hadn't ocurred to me to use Ancestors and Descendants, and then remove the descendants.
